Doing business in CroatiaDoing in business in Croatia, is still a challenge, as there is a number of obstacles to overcome.

According to doingbusiness.org, Croatia rank number 103 (out of 183 countries) in the world in the 2010 edition, which reflect and improvement of 7 places compare to the 2009 edition.

Main driver for the better ranking is the category “Dealing with building permission” where Croatia, improved from position number 171 to position 144, which still leaves room for further improvements.

The Category “employing workers” which include subcategories like difficulties in hiring and laying off people as well as general working terms, places Croatia at position 163 in world, which means, that from an employer point of view there is only 20 countries in world Rated worse then Croatia.
