Croatia National coach Slavan Bilic stayes
On the press conference at 1 pm it was announced that Slaven Bili? will continue as the coach of the Croatian national team!
This decision was really unexpected as Slavan Bili? is the first coach of Croatian National team, who keeps his job after not qualifying for the world or European cup.
His contact expired after the match in Astana, but now a new one will be signed and Bili? will be in charge of guiding Croatia through the qualification for the European cup in 2012.
He said that he believes in the group of players, and the he and his colleagues have huge motivation, desire and commitment to the HNS, the public, but most of all to themselves. He said that his desire to remain present greater then ever, so he decide to stay the head of team.
“With these players I lived past three and a half years, and in the game against Kazakhstan, the players showed me real loyalty. Yesterday I met with the president and secretary of HNS and we agreed that I will continue.
He said that in these qualifications the team really had bad luck, so many players where injures in the worst possible moment, and stated that this has giving him huge motivation to continue his job.
Meeting of the Executive Committee will be held next Friday.
