Croatia’s Former President: government was corrupt

Zagreb: The outgoing President, Stjepan Mesic, has blasted a bomb by the end of his term. According to all news papers in Zagreb, he was quoted for saying “The government was the head of the rampant corruption”.

The conservative HDZ party under its long-time chairman and Prime Minister Ivo Sanader has strained a corruption network across the country which has paralyzed the state institutions.

Since the election of Sanader in 2003 until his unexplained resignation in July last year, “a parallel command structure” had the final say, criticized Mesic. By eliminating the authorities’ the government systematically settled the corruption.
