Ferry Rijeka – Bari Suspended

Submitted by Croatiablognews on February 8, 2010 – 3:38 pmNo Comment

The Jadrolinija ferry sailing from Rijeka to Bari in Italian, has been suspended with out further noticed from the 5th of February to 28 of February, according to local media this period might even be prolonged.

The ferry normally sails once per week from Rijeka to Bari, via Split, Hvar, Korcula, Dubrovnik. In summer season the ferry sails twice per week.

It is speculated that reason for suspending the line, is that the governments in the current financial situation, does not have money for subsidizing this line.

Tourist should although not worry about availability of the route in the summer half.
