Hungerstrike on Steelwork in Split
The workers at the Split Steel company Željezara Split has announced that the will start a hunger strike this week. For several month the workers has not been receiving any pay check, and they therefore, see not other way in solving their problem then the hunger strike.
The steelwork Željezara Split, was privatised some years ago and since had different owners. The government require that outstanding salaries are paid. The state / taxpayers till now invested 22 Million Euro in the steelworks.
