Mega playground openned in Split
Split has got a new attraction for children, last Saturday a huge children’s playground called “Carobni grad”, was opened at Poljud – the stadium in Split. With good reason it can be claimed that this is the largest playing-place in Dalmatia and beyond, it spreads over 3 floors and total area of 2000 m2.
This truly impressive space is owned by the Olympiakos basketball player Nikola Vujcic and the football player Giovanni Rosso, both of them have spent lots of years outside of Croatia, where they have learned about facilities like this. They both felt that something like this was missing in Split, we can only agree to that.
The indoor playground area includes workshops, a playground and even a Puppet Theater- in which stories are read for the kids. The center also includes a football field, a castle, and a space for soft play toys, which is ideal for very small children.
On the ground floor there is a huge two-storey labyrinth, all protected by a soft material, so there is no chance for any serious injuries.
On the 1st floor there is the “Girls Town” with lots of interesting content for young ladies, like the fairy castle, the dancing and karaoke room, and two halls for various children’s birthday celebrations. At the end of the floor there is separate room protected with a net, equipped with guns for the pirate wars of the smaller children.
The basement part is still not finish, but it is planned that it should facilitate stuff like aerobics and S-factors.
To ensure, that nobody gets hurt at the playground, more or less the entire playground is cover by sponge and there are no sharp edges, but the main safety mechanism is a large number of “ladies” working at the playground center.
The entrance area is well protected, so that children can not get out, at the entrance the kids has to take off their shoes, if parents want to go to the playing area, there is a special machine that will coat their shoes with a plastic bag so that there is no possibility of bringing dirt in from outside.
Of course there is also an excellent coffee bar for the parents, where they can enjoy a nice cop of coffee, while the kids are playing.
Entrance fee to this amazing playing ground is 35 kn a 10 ticket package is available for the cost of 200 kn, and there is a discount for larger groups. Parking is available next to the entrance.

A nice play area for the children. Its very important that the play area is well taken care of. Its very thoughtful of them to have the shoes covered with plastic. Thanks for sharing this information with us, a great place to visit with children.
Our daughter loves this place!
