Hotels in SplitWhen you live in Croatia you get used to deadlines that are moved, that simply how I works here (-:

As they back in End of 2006 started rebuilding the Hotel Split into a new 5 Star resort, it was announced that the hotel should be finished in spring 2009.

As I am living only a few hundreds meter from the hotel, I have follow the progress first hand, already by the end of 2008 it seamed clear that they would miss the initial deadline, so the deadline was moved to Spring 2010, we now have 1 of March 2010 and to me I looks like there is still quite a bit work before the new Radisson Blu Resort is finished, anyway I this weekend took a few picture of Hotel.

Hotel in Split - Radisson Blu

The main building is almost finish, but the lower part with the apartment looks far from finished, an I guess the really have to start the turbo engine, it they want the Resort to look like the official animation before summer this year.

But who knows maybe I am in for a big surprise (-:

Any news about the current state of the hotel?
We booked a room for the first week of september, but this doesn’t look very promising.

  • Hi Sander, they are working on the hotel daily, the main building is basically finished, and also the outside area start looking quite good, so I am sure they will be ready for September.

I friend of mine saw it from the inside, he says it looks amazing.

I will post pictures when it opens

I see the former Hotel Split is now flagged Radisson Blu. Who are the owners or major investors? Thanks!
