Šibenik Historical celebration
From the 18th to the 20th of September a historical party is celebrated in Šibenik, knights, salesmen, actress, jongleurs, clowns, singers and craftsmen, literally “occupy” the city
On squares, in the old town streets and along the Riva, around 300 participants from all over Croatia and several neighboring countries, make sure that that visitors get a through feeling of being in another century.
From the canons on the pier, shots will be fired, the city guardians, will use there crossbows to protect the city against attracts from the venetians.
The city of Šibenik hope that interesting historical events like this one, can help prolonging the tourist season. If you are near Šibenik you should have a look around town, I am sure kids would love it.
